About Baseworks

Family-founded. Field-proven. Built to last.

For nearly four decades, Baseworks Inc. has put the foundations, sites, and structures of the Mountain West in the ground — one self-performed, incident-free project at a time. We're still owned and run by the people who do the work.

Who we are

A contractor that bets on its own crews.

Baseworks was founded in 1986 on a simple conviction: the work that decides whether a project succeeds — the foundation, the dirt, the steel, the concrete — is too important to subcontract out and hope for the best.

So we built a company around self-performing it. Today we field our own drill rigs, cranes, and earthmoving fleet, fabricate steel in our own AISC-certified shop, and back every project with an in-house preconstruction and quality team. The result is a contractor owners can hold accountable for the whole result — not just a slice of it.

We're headquartered in Commerce City, Colorado, with 280 craft and professional employees serving industrial, energy, transportation, water, and mission-critical clients across six states.

What we stand on

Values that hold up under load.

Safety first, always

We measure our leaders on the safety of their crews before any schedule or margin.

Own the work

Self-perform means we don't pass risk down the chain — we carry it and we manage it.

Do it once, right

Quality built in the field beats quality inspected after the fact. Every time.

Invest in people

Apprenticeships, certifications, and a path from the field to the front office.
